I suppose if it came to my hometown (St.Louis) I would go.
if it were in STL, I would go, too. It falls in the ~2 hour circumference I would drive

No. GW is simply too narrow of a reason to go to a con. I once went to a con that centered around the works of Joss Whedon(creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly) and it worked because it focused on all his work rather than one show. Maybe an ANet con would be better or maybe an MMO con.

I wouldn't go, just because then I'd have to hang out with the type of people who'd go to a Guild Wars con.

Would like to go but anything more than 45 minute drive is a no-go for us now.

Would be great if we could get any/all the merchandise people have suggested before in all the other threads. Plushies, posters, (mini)pets and coffee cups top my list.

If its a convention there would definetly end up being cosplay. Would I wear my costume to it? No, I do not have that much confidence. Husband might wear his though and mini-Gwen still tries sneaking hers on.

While it might be kind of fun but if they only held it in one location, expecting world+dog to show up, it probably would be sparsely attended and not too successful. So they'd need to have a series of events in different locales over a couple of months. That would get expensive.

I'd rather see them use the money to buy more servers.

I would go if it were within 2 or 3 hours driving range, or train range.

Like Pittsburgh, or Phillie (maybe, heh. Heard a lot of bad things about Phillie these days...)

MAYBE New York if I had the money to stay more then a day. But that would be a really big maybe. If I were Anet, I would so totally do a Pittsburgh thing. (That was a pretty obvious Hint, by the way. Remember: Pittsburgh. It's totally cool.)

Well, since they'll never make it to the East Coast in the US, I'd have to say no....

Going to one would entail leaving guildwars, getting off the computer, attempting the outside world.. and that's just to get there.. uhhh... my poor characters would miss being played in that time

Would you ever go to one if they held one?
If it was within distance, and my parents would allow me, of course! I put over 2,000 hours into the game, why not have a chance to meet the creators of the game I enjoy? I mean, I'd like to play a match in Alliance Battles with a GM on my team just for fun.

Where would you ideally like it to happen?
Well, I live about four hours away from the most likely place for it to happen. But, probably there. I'd like it to be in my town, but I doubt they'd get a lot of people there if they did.

What kind of events do you expect/want?
Some more hidden facts about Guild Wars 2, what some of the ideas that are coming ahead. A spoiler on the story for GW2. If there are, some updates that may come in the future for Guild Wars. Tons of computers for people to have fun fighting each other with premade characters. Or, characters that like the GM's characters. Be a GM for a pvp match!

What kind of prizes/loot/schwag do you expect/want?
Special golds/greens, minipets, perhaps a title like "I Saw ANet In Person"

What kind of merchandise do you expect want?
Shirts, pencils, the average. I would like to see replica's of weapons, or characters for sale too. Also, having food from the game be served would be cool.

Would there be a band or a DJ? If so who?
Definitely a DJ, but you know, seeing Jeremy Soule's group play the actual music from the game would be incredible.

Would there be cosplay?
I'd be one of many dressed like an assassin or warrior.

Would you cosplay!?
I just said I would!

Would you tell people who you were in game?
Probably.

Heck yeah I'd go. Whatever the circumstances, GW was a great time for a long time (and AB's still are great). Might not be a bad idea to preview GW2 prior to some E3 thing.

I went to the launching of Nightfall where I am ... and pre-order the pack it was fun.

If the convention happens to be just around the corner, I would definitely go. But I know the chances of that happening is probably 2%
